Photography for House of Kin by Jon Aaron Green

When it comes to willow sculpting, your imagination is the limit! Lightweight and durable, willow lends itself to larger installations, both indoors and outdoors.

Being asked to create sculptures for a specific space is incredibly exciting. Collaborating with children’s interior company House of Kin, the willow Robin’s nest (above) built by Zoe adorned the ceiling of this play zone.

Commissioned by House of Kin interior design at Miss Daisys Nursery School, Belgravia, London

The sculptures are highly versatile and can be made to seamlessly integrate with the architecture of a space. The material is natural yet clean, strong and long-lasting, so the sculpture can stay in place for years.

Ideal situations for willow sculptures:

  • Children’s play zone

  • Bar area

  • Shop window

  • ‘Breakout’ area in a workplace

  • Community centre

  • Café or restaurant

Zoe really understood what i had in my head and brought it to life with willow.
